EVBox awarded with gold medal rating by EcoVadis

EVBox has been awarded a gold medal rating in recognition of its sustainability actions by EcoVadis as a result of the 2023 assessment. The result is based on the evaluation of policies, actions, and results of activities from the previous year in the areas of environment, labor, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. EVBox scored a total of 73 points and is in the top 1 percent of companies rated by EcoVadis in the ‘manufacture of other electrical equipment industry’ and top 5 percent of all companies rated by EcoVadis.

The EcoVadis assessment methodology rates companies’ actions when determining social and environmental affairs in their business operations. The assessment looks beyond compliance standards to evaluate the way companies make an impact in economic, social, and environmental affairs, as well as the role of internal and external stakeholders. EVBox’s double materiality assessment, products made with more sustainable materials, and operational carbon footprint contributed to its gold medal rating this year.

Sustainability is a fundamental part of EVBox
EVBox’s commitments to a sustainable future are an integral part of business that continuously guide decisions and developments. In 2022, EVBox received a silver medal rating with 64 points from EcoVadis. This year the company raised the score to 73 points, resulting in gold status.

The majority of improvements which led to this result are in the environment and ethics categories, demonstrating the joint efforts of different departments and employee commitment to the company’s mission. EVBox integrates ESG risk assessments and sustainability clauses in wider company processes and agreements, such as the partnership with Drake & Farrell announced in 2022 and the One Charger Two Lives initiative. The company also provides training and supports employee resource groups activities to ensure a safe and ethical environment for all, as seen on the My Gender My Pride 2022 campaign, which raised 10.000€ for COC Nederland last year.
